I work as Clinical Director within a digital health organisation, and my journey here has been shaped by demonstrating the value of clinical product leadership - building teams that understand how to develop clinical products at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and delivery.
I've built and embedded the clinical product function within a broader product organisation, ensuring clinical expertise sits at the heart of decision-making, where choices are continuous, time-critical, and often complex.
This site exists because:
- Clinical product is often poorly defined, and equally poorly understood.
- There’s no ‘when to’ or ‘how to’ guide for implementing clinical product within organisations.
- When implemented, teams expect senior‑level judgement without senior‑level support, yet there’s little external training to support development.
I write to clarify what the role actually involves, how it differs across contexts, and what good looks like in practice.
Occasionally, I also work with teams on clinical product maturity, role design, and decision‑making - but the writing stands on its own.
